On a bet, while strolling Fiesta's Night In Old San Antonio, father and son conjured to establish a title research business. With orders from family and friends in the banking, legal, and real estate business, we produced our first title searches from San Antonio later in the year on November 5th under the assumed name: James L. Hollerbach & Associates – Title Research & Abstracting.
Partnership 1985In partnership with Chicago Title Company, we were the first to provide title research services to the U.S. Marshals Service - Asset Forfeiture throughout Texas, emphasizing the Mexican border from Brownsville to El Paso.
Company Incorporated 1989
We lost partner, Jim Hollerbach (Sr.), and the company incorporated under the brand: Hollerbach & Associates, Inc. – Title Research & Abstracting
Approved Provider 1989Became an approved provider for the Resolution Trust Corporation in the dissolution of failed thrifts throughout Texas and Louisiana.
Company Headquarters 1990
Moved company headquarters in San Antonio to the 14th Floor of the Tower Life Building
Opened first research center in the Dallas County Records Building at 500 Main Street
Opened the Houston Research Center in the Greenway Plaza Building

Adopt-A-Map Program 1995
Helping save little pieces of Texas history, one map at a time. We celebrated our 10th anniversary by advocating for the Texas General Land Office's Adopt-a-Map program.
Law Amendment 1998Participated with the Texas Conference for Homeowner's Rights that enabled Texans to pass landmark legislation to amend a 100-year-old constitutional law and allow for Home Equity Lending.
H.E.L.P. Center 1999Partnered with Chicago Title Company to establish the Home Equity Loan Production (H.E.L.P.) Center in San Antonio. In addition to servicing local and regional customers, the center provided title searches to national mortgage and consumer lenders.
